Tithing Lessons: What Did I Learn

I have been a Christian since I am 13 years old. I have always believed in giving to the church and asking God to forgive me for my sins. I still believe in asking God for forgiveness and I believe in Jesus Christ. However, when it comes to tithing, my thoughts have completely changed and I realize that tithing may not be something that we are supposed to do anymore. In my life, I have been given many challenges. I have had a money challenge over the past three months. I agreed to tithing and tried to challenge myself to giving 10% of all that came into my household for 3 months. I gave to the church faithfully. Sometimes I would give over $700.00 in a given month. I noticed that each week I had just about enough to carry me through to the next week. My finances did not explode like I thought that they would.  I did notice that I had less money and times and God would open doors for me to get something cheaper. My brakes failed me and I got someone to do them for just $200.00.  It would have costed me $500.00 if I had gotten them at an auto repair store.  I had miracles where I just received money unexpectedly in the mail.  Yes, I did have some miracles.
