Dream Diaries: They Are Important to Keep

Everyone dreams from time to time and so few people actually write their dreams down on paper. Often, we think that our dreams are only a figure of our imagination. However, this is certainly not true if you look at biblical stories. Characters in the Holy Bible always had dreams and often they were a communication between them and some sort of spiritual being.  If you take the story of Jesus’ birth, we see that Joseph received a dream to take Jesus away from where he was born. If Joseph had not listened to the dream, we could have lost Jesus at his birth. However, God had another plan in store and Joseph responded well. Even Daniel was a dream interpreter.  He was known amongst kings and rulers for his dream interpretation.  Kings would call upon him to listen to their dreams and he would interpret them. He once interpreted a dream that would have had drastic consequences if nobody would have listed. He interpreted a dream that there was going to be a famine in the land.  He told the king to prepare early for this or else they would die.  Not only did Daniel interpret the dream, but he told the kind what the dream was.  You can say that he was prophetic as well.  Back then, the word psychic did not exist.  Foreseers of the future were often called prophets, astrologers and witches.  The word psychic didn’t get used until the 20th century.  It was called a psychic reading because a person would actually scan the life of a person and read their spirit.
